Day 1-2-3 - THE START!

Spain

DAY 1
Marbella to Salamanca (Palencia)

We took the national road way from  Marbella to Gibraltar and then past Sevilla. We stopped along a road side cafe for lunch and after a long journey found a hotel to rest.

DAY 2

Salamanca to Sanabria

This lovely medieval village dates back to the 1500's. We took a tour of the castle which overlooks the town. A nearby dam broke in the 50's killing over 150 people. Beautiful little village.

DAY 3 - 

We arrived to the NW part of Spain just on the tip of Portugal near VIGO. It has 3 lovely bays which come in from the mouth of the Atlantic. Lots of fresh fish here. Beautiful portside town. We had a lovely picnic on the side of the road. We were the only ones driving on the roads less traveled.
